Is there life left in slide guitar after Trucks?

Slide guitar seems to be more popular than ever.

Whilst there are plenty of other great, current slide players out there, Derek Trucks is probably more responsible than anyone for this resurgence.

Which is great.

And he’s great.

But it’s reached proprtions a little like what happened with SRV and the blues.

Do we really need endless clones?

There is one Derek Trucks, and only one.

In the same way that there is only one of you.
